About the artwork
Jal ki Rani? (context : there is a poem in Hindi that starts with 'Machli jal ki rani, jeevan uska paani...' that translates as 'the fish is the queen of water, water is its life..') is an artwork questioning whether we truly consider the ecosystems around us as part of us or are only trying to establish ownership and extract as much as we can from it. Are we saving the oceans and the life in it or are we just blinded by greed and over consumption?
